Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

The Sunday Post #170 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

I caught a cold coming back from Hawaii, and I have been battling with it on and off during the week. On Thursday, I was so exhausted I went to bed at 7:30 pm, and didn’t wake up until 10 am on Friday. I wish that meant I feel great now, but that’s not totally the case. I’ll definitely take it easy this weekend, though, and hope I’ll kick this cold real quick!

  1. Too bad about the lousy cold. It’s so easy to catch them on planes. Hope you feel better soon.

Fun haul of books. Brandee’s gift looks good. Oh yes, you definitely want to find the first ones in the Iron Druid series. I love Luke Daniels narration of it.

    Have a restful weekend!

  2. Aww thank you for sharing my post!! And omg your puppies are SO CUTE. That sucks about the cold though, ugh I’m really hoping you get through it soon. *sends soup*

  3. Oh man, getting sick after a vacation is the worst! My household is sick as well and I keep taking preventive medicine every time my throat has a tickle! I do not want to get sick again, I feel like I already had a cold or two this winter, so I’m done! That’s my limit! Lol!

Nice new reads! Totally new to me ones except for Kevin’s book! Really need to get caught up with that series again! Haven’t read them in a real loooong time! Lol! The delay with the 5th book really hurt me back then! Lol! Happy Reading! Wishing you a speedy recovery as well!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. Oh, your new books look great, Lexxie. So tempting! I hope you enjoy them all. Loved Freddy and Hercules’s picture. They seemed not in the mood. Haha.. have a wonderful week, my friend, and happy reading. ?❤️

  5. Hopefully you had a wonderful time in Hawaii, even though you came home with an unwanted gift… feel better soon Lexxie. Enjoy all your new reads.

  6. Aw I hate geting sick after a holiday! Hope you feel better soon!

Nice haul for sure, but my goodness both you and Kim are super sick! I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. What a lovely pic of the puppies. They always make me smile. Happy New Year and healing Hugs…RO

  8. Sorry you got the crud! The flu and other bugs are going around in full force. I hope you kick it soon and start feeling better.

  9. Hope you feel better. It seems that everyone is sick. Its a terrible winter for illness it seems! The puppies look adorable as always!

  10. Those are a lot of new books! Happy reading x And that’s a long time to be asleep… it means your body needs the rest. Hope you get better soon, Lexxie <3

  11. I hope you are feeling better. I’m sure that long nights sleep helped, even if it wasn’t immediately. I hope you’re able to find all the Iron Druid books. I really love that series.

    I’m sorry you’re not feeling well 🙁 That’s the worst, to come home from a great vacation only to get sick. I’m glad you were able to get some good rest, though! Do you not work on Fridays? Or did you call in? How great if you were already off and could get some guilt free rest! Hope you’re feeling better after the weekend! miss you! {{HUGS}}

  13. I hope you beat your cold soon! I just got over my second sinus infection of the winter and my husband is recovering from the flu. This winter is no-joke already!

  14. So sorry to hear you are unwell after that marvelous trip to Hawaii; that really stinks! I hope you feel better soon. I’ve been told ginger lemon tea helps a lot.

The pups are adorable as ever.

My reading goal this year is to clean up my currently reading list. I’ve finished the one; four more to go over the next 11 months. (The goal actually fits into my overall goal of using up and getting rid of all the “snippets” in my home.)

  15. I hope the cold is gone by now! Also, your dogs are so cute!!

Twisted Truths looks so good! Last week I got way too many books!!!
