Weekend Wrap-up is where I share my new books, as well as what happened here at (un)Conventional Bookviews and elsewhere in the blogoshpere. I’m linking up with the usual suspects, AKA Team Tynga’s Reviews and Caffeinated Reviewer.

STS #210

Stacking The Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality is all about the latest additions to my library – virtual or actual, with books that are  bought, borrowed, won or ARCs  I will (probably) be reading soon. Without further ado, here’s what I added to my bloated shelves this past week:

Only one book this past week, and I loved this final instalment in J.A. Huss’ Mister series. It was so nice to see them all again!

The Sunday Post #160 – Weekend Wrap-up

Kim @ The Caffeinated Reviewer, is our hostess with the mostest for the weekly Sunday Post where I’m wrapping things up. It is the perfect opportunity to share what happened here on my own blog, as well as some of the happenings elsewhere in the Blogosphere.

We spent a fantastic week in the north of Spain, the weather was good, and I even got a slight tan. The water was pretty cold, though, so I only went in the first day. We went to some of our favorite restaurant for the full vacation experience, and Mr. Lex was very happy to go cycling on the coast.

Both Freddy and Hercules absolutely loved the beach, Freddy went swimming every day, but Hercules was a bit hesitant.

  1. Oh nice! I always say small hauls are the best! And they are because you still get a little something but the TBR pile doesn’t suffer tremendously! Hope you enjoy the new read!

    My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. Glad you and your family had a lovely vacation in Spain. Oh yes, fall water temps must have had you scurrying for the warm towels and blankets. 🙂 Ahhh, the dogs are adorable.

  3. I’m planning to read The Mister series, Lexxie. Thanks for your recs. I’m curious about the author.
    You, your daughters and the puppies seem to have had a wonderful week. I miss beach these days. It’s been months since the last time I saw a beach.
    I hope you have an awesome week. Happy reading. ?❤️

    • I really love JA Huss! I haven’t loved all of her books, but her writing always draws me in, and she’s one of my autobuy authors 🙂
      We did have a great week… my husband and one of my sons were there, too, but they don’t like me sharing their picture.
      I hope you’ll be able to make a beach trip sooner rather than later 🙂

  4. It always looks so beautiful by the sea. Hilarious that Freddy looks like he is on top of Hercules probably using him as a blanket so he doesn’t get full of sand. 🙂 They are so cute! I am glad they are getting along so well.

    Have a great week, Lexxie! Miss you! Happy Reading! ox

    • I agree! I love being by the sea, it always relaxes me, and I get that vacation feel as soon as we get out of the car 🙂
      Haha, often, it’s Hercules on top of Freddy, but Freddy doesn’t like that. I think Hercules is just used to sleeping with his brothers and sisters, and so he seeks another body for comfort.
      Miss you too!! When will I see you again? {{{HUGS}}}

  5. I’ve had small hauls lately but this week a whole bunch came in the mail. LOL Freddy and Hercules look like they’re snuggle buddies now and I bet H gets his swim fins together soon. He can’t let Freddy have all the fun!

    My Sunday Post

  6. I’m going a lot to the beach these days woth the dog too, it’s warm and nice to walk. But many persons are still swimming, I should try

  7. Your pups are absolutely the cutest! I’m glad the weather was good to you and it seems like you had an amazing time and made some good memories with your family. 🙂

  8. Sounds like you had a great week. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m sure Hercules will get more excited about swimming as he gets older. Glad he enjoyed the beach anyway. 🙂 Have a great week.

  9. Sounds like you had a great vacation week! Your dogs look so cute and that’s nice they enjoyed the sand and water as well.

    It’s nice to have a week with few new books now and then. Good to hear it was a good read!

  10. I am so glad to hear you enjoyed Spain. It sounds like everyone had a great time. I love the new pictures of both pups in action and sleeping. They are to cute!
    I can’t wait to read your thoughts on The Rules of Magic! Have a great week!

  11. It seems like your break was very lovely and relaxing! That’s wonderful!! I’m thinking you all needed it. 🙂 I’m going to Texas but it’ll only be a small “break”. I need to check in on my grandma and do a few things for her. I have to admit that traveling isn’t all that appealing right now! haha Anyway, I hope you all are feeling rejuvenated. I love seeing the photos of Freddy and Hercules. And I look forward to your review of Lies Jane Austen Told Me since it’s a book sitting on my shelf! (naturally!)
    Love you and miss you, wifey!!! {{{smooches & hugs}}}
