Another year is over, and so, it’s time to wrap up the 2016 New Release Challenge, choose some giveaway winners, say goodbye to the old year, and hello to the new 🙂
2016 New Release Challenge Wrap-Up
The 2016 New Release Challenge was a big success, as we were many people participating, and with a total of 687 reviews linked up by participants! (645 at the end of 3rd quarter) It’s been fun to see the variety of books that have been read, and equally interesting to see the ones that have been read by multiple participants. The Facebook Group has been present all through the year, but maybe not as active as it could be – if you have any ideas about how to make it more active, I’m all ears!
I read and reviewed new releases in 2016, and I’m happy to have made my goal, even with how busy I have been this year. I hope you’re happy with your progress and overall achievement when it comes to reading new releases this year! Here’s a list with links to my reviews :

Woohoo! Good job on such a successful challenge 🙂 You’ve definitely been a role model for me. Wish you the best in 2017!
Oh wow, thank you!! I wish you all the best for 2017, too!!
Good morning! I hope I linked up my Wrap-Up in the right post. Thanks a lot to you and Stormi for doing such a great job – I had really fun and am looking forward to the next 2017 New Release Challenge 🙂
Best wishes
Vi @ Gone With The Books
Good morning, Vi, and Happy New Year 🙂 I’m s happy you’ve enjoyed this challenge, and that you’re participating once more in 2017!
Congratulations to everyone who took part and to everyone who reached their goals!
🙂 Thanks Chuckles!
I more than made my goal for this challenge and I am joining again in 2017, one of the few reading challenges I am joining in 2017 as I enjoy this one. I read 70 new releases in 2016, and my goal was 31-45, so i about doubled that. Thanks again for hosting this challenge!
I would love to see the facebook group get a bit more active as I like groups for challenges. It’s fun to hear how others are doing. Maybe do a question every few weeks about what people are currently reading or how many new releases they have read so far or link to their favorite one so we can check out other people their reviews. Or the best new release so far? Or the first 2017 new release they are reading? That sort of thing. maybe post some reminders about linking up reviews. I know I am really bad at remembering that. Although I did link up my reviews of Q4, yay!
You did really well, Lola! Congrats!
Thanks for letting us know you’d like more action in the FB group. Stormi and I will need to chat about how to do this… We can do weekly updates on Mondays, maybe, as well as favorite quotes on one day, we shall see.
Good luck for 2017!
Wow, so many 2016 releases read and reviewed. Congrats, Lexxie! 😀
Thanks, Stephanie 🙂
Is it okay that my wrap-up post is in my Sunday Post? If not, I can do a separate one. Great job on your challenge, wifey! I did hit my goal as well…actually I waaay surpassed it. 😉 But what I didn’t do so well with was linking my reviews. Is the linky still open? Does it matter at this point?!? *hahaha* I’m signed up for the 2017 New Release Challenge. In fact, I created the shelf on GR yesterday. 🙂
Happy New Year, lovely!! *LOVE & BIG HUGS*
You can do your wrap-up post with your Sunday post, or for all your challenges in one, or any other way you’d like, wifey 🙂 The linky for the last quarter should still be open, but not the earlier ones.
You are so organised these days! Spreadsheets for your ARCs, shelves on GR 😉 Well done, my dear! Love you and miss you! {{{BIG HUGS}}}
Woah, congrats on reading all those new releases! That’s awesome. As for the FB group, it might be a matter of people forgetting. i suppose more reminders about it, or ask a lot of questions, do polls, etc.?
-Lauren
Thanks, Lauren 🙂 And thanks for the suggestions, too! Questions and polls are both very good ideas 🙂
Congratulations on hosting such a successful challenge, Lexxie! You read an impressive number of new releases this past year.
Thank you, Carole 🙂
And yeah, I did read a lot of new releases last year. I look forward to all the new books of this year!
That’s awesome that the challenge was a success! And congrats on reaching your goal 🙂
I’m very happy with the participation, Kristen 🙂 It was a bit scary when I first started with it 😀
